If you’re familiar with the Public Post Preview Configurator plugin, you know how valuable it is for setting expiration times on public post preview links. However, with its last update over 4 years ago, many users are left wondering whether it’s still safe and reliable to use on modern WordPress websites.
That’s why I created PPP Extension — a lightweight and updated alternative.
Similar Functionality, Improved Flexibility
PPP Extension offers the same core functionality as Public Post Preview Configurator: it allows you to set an expiration time for public preview links. The main difference? PPP Extension accepts time input in minutes, giving you much finer control compared to the original configurator, which used hours as the unit.
Why I Created PPP Extension
I originally developed this plugin to support my clients’ websites that were still relying on the old Public Post Preview Configurator. With no updates for years, it became important to have a secure, actively maintained alternative to ensure compatibility with the latest WordPress versions and to minimize any potential risks.
Important Note
Just like Public Post Preview Configurator, PPP Extension requires the Public Post Preview plugin to work. Make sure you have it installed and activated first to use PPP Extension properly.
If you are looking for a more up-to-date and flexible way to manage expiration times for public preview links, PPP Extension is the perfect solution.
